Performing Arts Corps
Monty's Say It In a Song program was developed with help from the Oklahoma Arts Council for their Performing Arts Corps grants. The objective of the grant is to let students learn from professional performing artists. PAC artists present a school-wide performance of their art form plus a two-hour workshop for a small group of students. The Oklahoma Arts Council covers 75% of the artist fee plus travel. (In Monty's case this means you pay only $125 after OAC reimbursement!) Since the program was developed through the OAC, the grant application process is very simple.

Small Grant Support for Schools
The OAC's Small Grant Support for Schools is a versitile arts education grant that can fund many different types of projects. This is the perfect grant to enable your school to host a Monty Harper Songwriting Residency. The grant can cover up to 90% of your cost! It's a bit more complex than the PAC grant, but Monty will be glad to step you through the process. Please inquire about residencies six to twelve months ahead of time.
